SHE'S LEAVING
Twisting and turning she leans back into her chair
Laughing and smiling I ask her...is someone there?
She wants to be free
And I want her... here with me
She goes to the window and softly. she cries
So I begin weaving our tapestry of acceptable lies
She wants to be free
I want her... here with me
Cause she's leaving alone
And I'm wishing she'd come home
Packing her clothes select memories, she moves to the door
I select words and apologies .....and drink one more
Should have done, could have done, would have done, so I begin
This is the part in the past that she would give in
Cause she wants to be free. And I want her here with me
Cause she's leaving alone
And I'm wishing she'd come home
She's leaving alone
And I want her under my control
She's leaving alone
And I want her under my control.
